my name is guillermaraj I'm the founder and CEO of versel and the designer of nexjs our front-end framework I grew up in Argentina and I'm a self-taught software engineer from an early age I had a lot of passion for the front inside of a website what makes it interactive real-time animated the web is to be very static and boring until sort of the front and wave of JavaScript and all this new technologies has started I thought maybe there's an
opportunity here to condense all these best practices and give people a framework that they could use instantly and a platform that would work really well with that framework I noticed that there was this really big gap between what companies like meta and Google were able to do with front-end engineering and what the rest of the world could do typically when you have an idea and you want to turn that into a global application there's just so many obstacles in the way and versel aims to simplify and remove all this friction to
really just unleash creativity for every developer and their peers worldwide we pay a lot of attention to our values and I think one of my favorite values that folks love adversell is to dig deep so dig deep means to really go above and beyond especially for the customer sometimes developers run into issues that are hard to debug and I think the typical answer that a company will give is oh give me comprehensive instructions on how to reproduce this bug we do that homework ourselves to try to produce the
best possible and most elegant answer being able to connect with with life outside of work and and and be the best version of myself when I come into work I discovered this boxing gym in San Francisco in the Dog Patch and I kind of became obsessed with like how can I train without having lots of gear and you know you cannot just use your body weight and you develop balance it's a very complete work and I love it so what's been great about working with Glenn and the ggv team is that we have great alignment on what our priorities
are for the business and they tactically help with connecting us with experts and setting up panels around specific problems that are challenging in in many cases Cutting Edge they strike a good balance between offering help and also giving us a room to execute on our business foreign
