Oh no, mom and dad are beefing again. The Cloudflare strategy. Tell everyone on Twitter that bandwidth is free and unlimited. AWS bad. Rename bandwidth to Argo because the free one's low quality. Create the most evil non-transparent pricing page in history. Hide real bandwidth prices under a tool tip. When this ruse runs out, hope they locked you in with workers and durable objects. Sponsor lots of ex accounts to repeat the free and unlimited [ __ ] Hope that enough startups fall into the enterprise trap. Triangle man's a decent front-end designer, but he knows nothing about networks. He keeps having to make this point because he has built Verscell
on top of AWS, which charges him for bandwidth. So, he has to pass that cost onto his customers or he'll go bankrupt. Cloudflare, on the other hand, built our own network, so bandwidth is largely free for us. What I love about this pitiful answer, which everyone is calling you out for, is that you put Cloudflare's full true colors on display. First, you attack the bit. Okay, we don't need to read all of the details of all of this back and forth with the weird epic annoying voice. Don't even need to necessarily call out the fact that the formatting of this
first sentence is 100% Trump's formatting for sentences. What we need to talk about here is the absolute chaos that is going on. This weird and consistently brewing drama between the CEO of Verscell and the CTO of Cloudflare, GMO and Dne, respectively. There are some things that make this annoying to talk about in order. Thing one, I know way too much. I know way too much about the details of all of these things from all parties involved. Thing two, they're both right and they're both
wrong about a lot of different stuff. Thing three, the way that they're both talking pisses me off to no end and is so inherently bad faith so consistently that it's genuinely just annoying. And thing four, this is an expensive thing for me to talk about because as you guys know, I no longer work with Versell and I have been in talks with Cloudflare in the past and I probably will be some amount in the future. And by covering this the way that I intend to, I am burning the bridge on both sides. I
already will not work with Versel as a partner and sponsor in the future for various reasons. Check out my breaking up with Versel video if you're curious. And after this video, there's very few worlds in which Cloudflare is going to want to work with me. So, this is this is going to be an expensive one. So, I hope you pardon my quick break so that somebody else can pay my bills. As I've now established, it will never again be one of these two companies. Going to be real with you guys, hiring kind of sucks right now. Both as a candidate trying to get a job, but even more so as a business trying to hire people directly. It's obnoxious to find good candidates, especially now that we have endless
piles of AI generated resumes for people that possibly don't even exist. Thankfully, G2I is here to help us out, and they also just made a new page for me specifically that I have not seen yet. This should be fun for us to explore together. Oh man, I I missed the Theo with two hands very deeply. This makes my life so much easier. I don't have to go through the points when they have them all covered for me here. G2I gets it. They run my favorite dev conference. React Miami. That is true. React Miami is my favorite developer conference. It's awesome. You should go. Their team is actual engineers, not just
recruiters, not a firm of people that don't understand code. Everyone who works at G2I understands code and can have good conversations about it. I've had awesome comos with everyone there. You can work with them for 14 days without spending a single dollar to see if they work for you guys. That's a really, really good opportunity. Every other recruitment company or firm is going to cost hundreds of thousands before you even know if it's going to work. Their comms are nuts. They'll actually open up a shared Slack channel with you and do syncs every day if you want. It's crazy. They help you hire globally. Oh, there's the Slack part again. It's part of their comm stuff. They communicate really well. They have
a built-in video platform, which is really cool because you can ask interview questions. They'll send them to the candidates and let you go watch them without having to do a bunch of interviews yourself. Again, they'll do standups with you, which I promise you none of these recruitment firms are going to do. They'll help you hire insanely fast, as quick as a week, which is insane. From first interview to first PR merged by the employee can be as short as 7 days, which is unfathomable in traditional world. And of course, the most important piece, real engineers, not a bunch of AI generated resumes. These are humans they work with and have
