I'm here today to talk about AI uh enabled Frameworks um and actually it's really more of an exploration about what it might be like to put people first uh in this new new age um so but first just a word about about me I mean I've obviously been introduced uh much um better than I could could myself but I thought I would say that here are a few projects that I'm involved in if you I want to check them out now I won't be really um getting into them today but obviously KN is probably the the main
thing that I spend my time doing I'm I'm full-time open source um but there are also one or two other projects too like uh rejax dodev um which in aims to make regular Expressions more understandable uh and type safe uh and and totally compiles away to normal regular Expressions when you when you build your project uh Fontaine which aims to reduce cumulative layout shift if you're using custom web fonts uh elk uh which is a
client for masteron um if you want to see when you when you started uh what your first commit words on GitHub you can visit first commit. is and um do check out my website if you want to get in touch with me at any point because I would love to help if I can uh so if you've got any questions or anything that comes out from The Talk today that we don't get a chance to cover afterwards um please do get in contact um so uh this is where I am right now this is the other view like if you're looking forward uh I have just one cat in the room and so
hopefully she's not going to jump on my lap as as I go uh and I've not got my uh coffee I've got I've got some tea and hopefully that's going to uh that's going to to be be uh useful it's it's really cold the heating is off in my house and outside is pouring with rain so you know the northeast of England might be might be pretty but this is definitely
a day for coziness so thank you everybody for being here um I'm certainly going to hopefully enjoy myself um so I lead the the team on KN U which is a framework for building web applications it's built on view for the the front end rendering engine um and Nitro for the uh the back the back end um our serverless framework which we actually built for KN but which is now totally independent and can be used for other meta Frameworks like for example analog which is a um an angular meta framework the aim for next is really
that it should require zero effort to get started um and we really prioritize developer experience so we we we want uh it to be a great experience and for there to be very low friction between getting going uh and producing what you want I think really capturing that magic thing we were talking about a moment ago um it should feel like magic when you're in the zone and you're able to code and create something that works well that's that's at least what I would I would would want to see um and next is meant to be very extensible so we have a whole
library of modules for example that you can um drop into your your project or you can even create your own um and today I'm going to do something that is a little bit crazy um with regard to next so I do I I I do do hope that that all works well but it's meant to be extensible so you can do all kinds of different things even ones that might not be envisioned by the people who created in the first place um do do feel free to check it out um to
start with um I wonder if you would be able to let me know if you have used uh NX 3 we recently rewrote uh n from scratch um we released uh it stably a uh year ago uh November 2022 um and it's been uh getting going over the last uh last year um and uh so hopefully my webss are going to work uh and see some
